GoldTek in Suzhou, China has begun distributing the innovative tool for testing and troubleshooting electronics, Smart Tweezers, in China and surrounding countries.
Siborg Systems Inc.'s electronics tester, Smart Tweezers, has gained distribution in China with help from GoldTek. The popular device features fully automatic L, C and R measurements in a handheld device.
Designed specifically for testing and troubleshooting electronics with Surface Mount Technology, Smart Tweezers is the combination of a set of precise tweezers, a small display and an automatic LCR-meter with the accuracy and speed of conventional bench type testers. The newest model, the ST5, features continuity and diode testing, component sorting, and designated ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) measurements with an estimated 6 times higer accuracy than older models. With just a touch of the tips to a component, Smart Tweezers automtically identifies the type of component and measures Capacitance (C), Resistance (R) and most importantly Inductance (L), which is unfound in similar devices.

Smart Tweezers' patented mechatronic design allows the device to have very low and well defined parasitics, easily eliminated with the semi-automatic offset subtraction. This feature makes measuring Capacitance and Resistance as low as 1 milliohm and 1 picofarad, as well as a fraction of microhenry for Inductance measurements. The newest model, the ST5, features continuity and diode testing, designated Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) measurements, and component sorting with an estimated 6 times higher basic accuracy of 0.2% than older model.
