Following a new agreement between the Maryland based SIBBIS International and Canadian Siborg Systems Inc. to market the device in the United States, SIBBIS has launched a blog featuring instructional materials and how-to's for the newest model of the handheld LCR- and ESR-meter, the Smart Tweezers ST-5.
Smart Tweezers, manufactured in Ontario, Canada by Siborg Systems Inc., are an innovative, small, fully-automatic digital LCR-meter able to measure for Inductance (L), Resistance (R), or Capacitance (C) of electronic components with the highest accuracy with just a touch of the patented tweezer tips to the component in question.
Featuring a patented mechatronic design, Smart Tweezers have very low and defined parasitics. The Smart Tweezers features a semi-automatic offset subtraction option, in which these parasitics can be subtracted while measuring resistance and capacitance. This feature allows for measurements of very small resistnace and capacitance of 1 picofarads and 1 milliohms range. Unlike other similar devices available that can only measure for resistance and capacitance, Smart Tweezers offers the ability to measure inductance of a fracton of microhenry, making it an exceptional tool for radio electronics.
