The members of this strong contingent of international competitors are seeking to become the first raiders to win the event since it was opened to overseas gallopers seven years ago. Remarkably, Hong-Kong trained horses have not only won the past seven Champions Mile meets, they have also provided nineteen of the twenty-one place-getters.

In order to accomplish this ambitious feat, Cityscape, African Story and King’s Rose must defeat the top milers in Hong Kong. A talented group led by Hong Kong Horse Of The Year, Ambitious Dragon, Able One, a two-time winner of the event (2010/2007), last year’s winner Xtentsion and second place-getter Lucky Nine.
