Yesterday Google launched its version of its long awaited social network named Google Buzz, has it caused a buzz? Well its definitely got people talking but is it going to compete with the likes of Facebook with over 400 million members.
If anyone has a chance its Google, there are split reactions. Some say its too late whilst others say it could be the next best thing. Google have a huge stake in the Internet world - they may have the power to be the new social media platform.
We all all so the rise of Myspace a few years back, although it still has a large user-base Facebook has grown rapidly and overtook them.
It is not surprising too see Google introducing their own social network to compete with Facebook, Myspace and ever popular Twitter.
Google Buzz has been integrated into Googles Gmail Email system which has over 150 million users, however Facebook do not think this will be a threat. They said people communicating by email and developing social network relationships are two different things.
One thing that Google will be doing is integrating their ever complex search algorithms into its social network platform by adapting "relevancy" searches which they think may bring a breakthrough in social networking.
