Kneber botnet Trojan Virus Attacks Computers

An on going Trojan virus attack has been detected by the US. The name of the Trojan virus kneber botnet is said to have attacked 2500 firms online. Kneber botnet has been named as the system used to gather financial and social networking details for the past 18 months. It has also effected email systems.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Merck, Cardinal Health, Paramount Pictures, and Juniper Networks were among the targets in the attack.

The root of the problem malware is thought to originate from Eastern Europe using a command-and-control server in Germany. The Malware was sent in email attachments to the companies which the employees may of clicked on according to NetWitness.
