The Brand New Kia Sportage which was unveiled recently has been met with mixed reviews, the new car by Kia is equipped with some ground breaking technology and features an entertainment system powered by Microsoft Windows.

The Kia Sportage CUV is the second Kia vehicle to have an integrated Microsoft entertainment system. The powerful hands free communication system is constructed on the Windows embedded Automated software platform. This system allows the driver of the vehicle access to a whole host of communicative tools such as the ability to answer the phone, respond to text messages, and listen to music. With this platform you can even put together your own musical experience, making driving all the more exciting.

The technology which has been dubbed UVO is something that Kia and Microsoft have worked in strong partnership to create and implement. Henry Beizh, Kia's national manager stated that there is now an increasing need amongst drivers for a technology packed in car entertainment system like UVO. Therefore they are confident that in future it could roll out to other car manufacturers giving drivers a more fulfilling driver experience.

The UVO has its roots in Microsoft with Kia and the computer giants working together on the platform for a number of years. Microsoft provides a steadfast foundation for the system and gives buyers confidence that the entertainment system will deliver in terms of quality.
