January 2, 2012 – SeminariesandBibleColleges.com is a growing website that helps prospective Christian students select their ideal seminary or Bible college. The site is currently in its infancy stages, but it has plans to add schools weekly. Currently, the site is seeking Californian seminaries, Bible colleges and schools of theology to build its “Seminaries in California” section. In addition to geographically locating these seminaries, visitors to the site will have the opportunity to organize these schools by their denomination, the degrees they offer and their mode of education.
SeminariesandBibleColleges.com was founded with the hope of letting students find their ideal school by using their criteria. Few websites allow future ministers to customize their criteria in this manner. While helping Christian college students, the site also seeks to help Bible colleges and seminaries. Many Christian seminaries and colleges are small and do not have budgets for large marketing campaigns. By offering these schools free publicity on the website,
SeminariesandBibleColleges.com is able to reach out and help small Christian universities. As long as the schools provide some basic marketing materials, such as photos and promotional videos, and are a seminary or Bible college, the can be added to the site. Because the site will be paid for by outside advertising, it costs nothing for the schools. Currently,
SeminariesandBibleColleges.com features schools in Pennsylvania, Texas, New York and California. As the site grows, there are plans to include institutions from every state. However, the immediate development plan is to grow the site’s California section. Right now, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary is the only seminary in this section. The site hopes to add between 6 and 30 schools to this section.
