TORONTO, May 27, 2014 - Bachelor programs have, traditionally, been offered through universities. With today's changing educational landscape, colleges are increasingly beginning to present students with the option of attending a four-year program and earning a Bachelor degree. Centennial College is one of the institutions leading the way in this shift.
The college degree programs at Centennial are all one-of-a-kind offerings that are breaking new ground in terms of their approach. In total, there are four degree offerings facilitated through the college that are open to students who wish to gain the practical skills they need to have an advantage over the competition and the theoretical background to have extensive subject knowledge for which employers look.
Three of the degree offerings at Centennial College are within the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science. Both the Bachelor of Applied Information Sciences – Computer and Communication Networks as well as Bachelor of Applied Information Sciences – Software Systems Design were created after the institution was chosen by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to deliver a program to address the demand for trained professionals in both areas. As such, Centennial is the only college in the province to offer bachelor's degree programs in these areas. Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Public Relations Management is a first-of-its-kind program in Canada, and offers students the know-how for a dynamic career in the growing field of public relations and corporate communications.
