The Whisky Shop, the UK’s largest specialist retailer of single malt whisky, has announced the opening of a new shop in Nottingham city centre.
This is the 20th store the popular whisky retailers have opened in the UK, joining current stores in Edinburgh, London and York.
Nottingham city council welcomed the move, with Councillor Nick McDonald saying; "This store will occupy a prominent central position near our fantastic Old Market Square, and we hope it will become another success story for the city.”
"This once again shows that Nottingham is seen by retailers as a prime location in the UK."
This follows the Whisky Shop announcing the opening of its 21st store in the busy Piccadilly area of London from late November 2012. The Whisky Shop has experienced unprecedented growth recently, having opened five new stores since 2010.
