When installing epoxy flooring, NJ-based flooring company, Mid-Atlantic Industrial Services witnessed firsthand the charitable nature of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. According to The Community FoodBank of New Jersey, “1 out of 5 kids in New Jersey is hungry.” (http://www.cfbnj.org/food/). Additionally, in 2013, the Community FoodBank of NJ distributed a record 40 million pounds of food.
After successfully installing epoxy flooring, NJ’s largest flooring company, Mid-Atlantic Industrial Services was inspired by their client, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, to give something back to the community. On April 5, 2014, the Mid-Atlantic Industrial services team attended the 18th Annual Blue Jean Ball in order to help raise money and food for the 1.2 million people who are experiencing hunger in New Jersey.
The 18th Annual Blue Jean Ball was themed “Let the Sunshine In,” to inspire the peace and freedom of the 1960’s as portrayed in the movie musical, “Hair.” Guests arrived wearing tie-dye clothing, accessories, and blue jeans. The night featured a tasting style menu from the best chefs in NJ, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle that raised approximately $250,000 for the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
