To close out the year, Consumer Reports released their annual Best New-Car Value rankings. The latest edition of the list was topped by the 2013 Toyota Prius and Sun Toyota is pleased to inform its customers about the news. Sun Toyota is a New Port Richey Toyota dealer near Tampa, Florida.
While determining their Best New-Car Value list, Consumer Reports considers a number of factors including vehicle reliability ratings, cost of ownership and fuel efficiency. The value of the 2013 Toyota Prius, specifically the Prius Four trim level, is bolstered by Toyota’s reputation for dependability and the 51 MPG that the gas-electric hybrid offers in the city.
“There are plenty of less expensive cars,” said editors at Consumer Reports. “But they can’t match the Prius for its comfortable ride, competent handling, roomy interior, excellent reliability, and, of course, its great fuel economy.”
In addition to the top rating for the 2013 Toyota Prius, several other Toyota models fared well in terms of New-Car value. Also representing the brand were the Camry Hybrid (Best Value Family Sedan) and the new Prius v (Best Value Minivan-Wagon). Building value within their vehicles enabled Toyota to sell 9.7 million vehicles in 2012, a company record.
