Chevrolet recently announced its plans to unveil the completely redesigned 2014 Corvette at the North American International Auto Show on January 13, 2013.  Timbrook Chevrolet in Keyser, WV is excited to soon carry the redesigned sports car that has become an American icon in the automotive industry.

The redesign has been dubbed the C7, and will mark the seventh generation of the Corvette nameplate.  The 2014 Corvette will feature a redesigned interior and exterior.  The exterior promises to be sleeker and more modern in order to hold its own against emerging exotic cars from foreign markets, and the interior will flaunt the sophistication that some consumers have said the Corvette lacked in previous years.

In addition to the redesigned interior and exterior, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 will flaunt a refreshed emblem.  GM considered over 100 emblems for the new Corvette, but finally settled on one.    The emblem on the 2014 Corvette will feature “more technical, more angular and more swept appearance – in proportion that symbolizes the new car,” according to GM.  The black and white checkered flag crossed with a red Chevy flag have adorned the Corvette since its inception in 1953.

The new emblem is a symbol of the new direction Chevrolet is taking the Corvette. It’s "a truly all-new Corvette. There are only two carryover parts from the C6 used in the C7 - the cabin air filter and the rear latch for the removable roof panel," said chief engineer, Tadge Juechter.
