New 2014 Toyota Tundra coming to Pearson Toyota this fall

The new 2014 Toyota Tundra, which made its debut today at the Chicago Auto Show, will be available to Virginia customers at Pearson Toyota in September.

NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia – Toyota revealed the redesigned 2014 Toyota Tundra at the Chicago Auto Show, according to Pearson Toyota (pearsontoyotascion.com) dealership in Newport News, VA. The full-size pickup has an all-new interior design, exterior styling and loads of innovative technology. It also stays true to its American roots, being engineered, designed and assembled in the United States.

The 2014 Tundra’s new design was encouraged from customer feedback, allowing Toyota to satisfy the wants of consumers along with their needs. The truck enthusiasts requested changes to everything from exterior design to technology and fuel economy.

“Toyota prides itself on listening to its customers and the development of the 2014 American-born Tundra is a perfect example,” said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager, Toyota Division. “Tundra’s new exterior design and all-new interior were inspired by customer feedback requesting a more chiseled exterior and refined interior with improved driver ergonomics, and easy-to-use technology, giving customers more of what they want instead, in addition to what they need.”

The 2014 Toyota Tundra lineup includes three cab styles – two-door Regular Cab, four-door Double cab and four-door CrewMax – and two body styles – 4x2 and 4x4. There are five trim levels available – SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum and the all-new 1794 Edition that is a tribute to the ranch founded at the Tundra plant in San Antonio, Texas.

On the outside, the new Tundra features an all-new front design that integrates the hood and grille, an increased fascia and sharper character lines to accentuate the wide stance and towing power. Fenders and wheel wells are squared off, and the front lower bumpers are now split into a three-piece design. The bed of the truck is also redesigned and includes a spoiler in the deck to improve fuel economy.

On the inside, the 2014 Tundra has a unique style for each grade. Audio and HVAC controls are closer to the driver, and the seats have a new design with improved front seat ventilation and the ability to be folded up for extra cargo space. The all-new instrument panel features 3-D metallic rings and grouped gauges for an easy-to-see design.

The 2014 Toyota Tundra has segment-first technology including a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert system, back-up camera and Bluetooth. Other standard technology includes a 3.5-inch multi-information display, Toyota Star Safety System and Advanced Airbag System.
