2013 Nissan Leaf is getting several upgraded features including longer range, lower-price base model, faster charging, and a more efficient heater.
The Nissan Leaf is entering its third year, and with this new year comes some upgraded features. Nissan has been hard at work redesigning this new Leaf model to have a slightly longer range, new lower-priced base model, faster charging times, and a more efficient heating system.
While the battery in the Leaf will remain the same, several factors about the vehicle will see improvements: the 2013 Leaf will be more aerodynamic, have improved regenerative braking, and better energy management.
The new model will also come in three different trim levels: the Leaf S, Leaf SV, and Leaf SL (bottom-, mid-, and top-tier, respectively). The S version comes equipped with an optional rear-view camera and optional 6.6-kW charger for faster charging. The SV will be available with 16-inch alloy wheels and LED headlamps and running lamps. The top-tier SL adds standard features such as leather seats and a new 17-inch alloy wheels. A premium package is available for the SV and SL trims which includes a display showing images of the car’s surroundings and a seven-speaker Bose audio system.
Pricing will be released closer to the car’s sale date.
