The 2012 Kia Soul has been awarded Active Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year in the Urban Category as a part of the ninth annual ALV awards held in Chandler, Ariz. The accolade was to be given to the vehicle that is most capable of fitting into and facilitating an active lifestyle, and was judged by automotive journalists as well as over seventy athletes who participate in cycling, triathlon, kayaking, softball and running. This year’s ALV awards included 28 finalist vehicles, and each vehicle was evaluated and tested on both on- and off-road courses.
The 2012 Kia Soul received the award based on factors such as its functionality, versatility, cargo space, performance, safety, suspension and interior space.
