The New York International Auto Show will feature a display of the latest performance vehicles that will be available at Fred Caldwell Chevrolet in the upcoming months.
The 2013 New York International Auto Show starts on March 29 and lasts through April 7, 2013. Fred Caldwell Chevrolet is proud to announce that Chevy will feature a display of all the latest performance vehicles that the company has unveiled in the last few months, leading up to the reveal of the 2014 Camaro at the show.
“Chevrolet customers have validated our performance credentials with their enthusiasm,” stated General Motors North America President Mark Reuss. “We're going to give them even more reasons to be enthused about Chevrolet performance, design and technology.”
On display will be the 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe. Originally unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit back in January, the Stingray has received nothing by high critical acclaim for its pure power (450 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque), acceleration (launching 0 to 60 in under four seconds), and fuel efficiency (EPA-estimated 26 mpg).
Its sibling, the 2014 Corvette Stingray convertible, more recently debuted at the Geneva Auto Show. Unlike typical convertibles, the Stingray does not compromise performance for the drop-top model. The power-to-weight ratio, as well as the chassis tuning, are nearly identical to those of the coupe. The top can be lowered either by pushing a button within the car or remotely by using the fob.
The 2014 SS sports sedan did not make its first appearance at an auto show at all. Instead, it was uncovered at Daytona in February, cheered on by thousands of race fans. Chevy hasn’t manufactured a V8-powered rear-wheel drive performance sedan since 1996, so this race-approved sedan has been long awaited. It runs on a ferocious 6.2-liter V8 that puts out an estimated 415 hp.
Finally, the all-new 2014 Camaro will be making its debut in New York. Chevrolet has been successful in keeping all the secrets of the new Camaro at bay, although rumors run rampant. Eager fans will have to wait until the end of March to know anything for sure, however.
