Hazel Green, AL (February 22, 2013) - Airkooled Kustoms, an internationally-recognized classic Volkswagen restoration and customization shop, announces a VW car show to be held at the 2013 Alabama Mountain Games. The Alabama Mountain Games is the Southeast’s premier outdoor sports and music festival, located at Boogie Bottoms in Cleveland, AL from March 15-17, 2013.
“We are excited to share our love of Volkswagens with this year’s Alabama Mountain Games participants. It’s the perfect venue for bringing outdoor family fun, Volkswagen enthusiasts, and great music together – and all for the very worthy cause of supporting public access and preservation of Alabama’s beautiful natural resources,” said Spook of Airkooled Kustoms.
In addition to the classic Volkswagen show, the event also features a live music stage, dance floor, marketplace, children’s play area, competitions and exhibitions in white water kayaking and canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, disc golf, and mountain biking. Camping facilities offer restrooms, showers, and concessions.
Other games are planned, including a bungee run, boxing, corn toss, dry land boat race, dry land spouse sled race, throw rope contest, bucket wars, horseshoes, and basketball. Children will enjoy face painting and temporary tattoos as well as crafts and a run for fun relay race.
Event organizers are proud to announce scheduled music performances by the following artists: Alice Gillee, Rollin in the Hay, One-Eyed Mary, The Deep End, Strange Heirs, The Dozens, Rescue Dogs, and Mandie Rae & Westover Water.

Pre-registration is now available online at www.AlabamaMountainGames.com. Weekend passes cost $25; children under 12 are admitted free. Registration and a completed waiver are required for all competitions. There is no additional fee for the Volkswagen car show.
