Chevrolet announced today that its new global advertising slogan will be Find New Roads, replacing the previous slogan, Chevy Runs Deep.
Chevrolet announced today that it would be replacing its current advertising slogan, Chevy Runs Deep, with a new and improved slogan. Find New Roads will allow Chevy to present itself to the world with a single vision and communications platform. As the world’s fastest-growing major auto maker, Chevrolet’s new slogan will help them present one single message in all 140 markets that they currently serve.
Chevrolet has seen steady global growth since the 2009 launch of the Cruze, which was their first truly global vehicle. Since then, Chevrolet has introduced other global models, such as the Spark, Malibu, and Volt. Before Chevy went global, 27% of their sales were outside the United States. Today, that number has grown to roughly 63%.
Mary Barra, senior vice president of Global Product Development, said, “Find New Roads embraces the spirit of ingenuity that has been in Chevrolet’s DNA since the beginning and it will continue to guide every aspect of our business moving forward. We have sold Chevrolets around the world for almost a century, but this is the first time we have aligned behind one global vision. As we develop new products our designers and engineers will be empowered to find smarter solutions to address customer needs and make their lives better.”
The use of the slogan will begin in the United States this quarter, and will be used in advertising around the world. This will allow Chevy to create a consistent theme for the brand, which will be more and more important as Chevrolet continues to see global growth.
