A new exhibition is set to open in Stockholm centered on the Nissan LEAF, and Bates Nissan in Killeen, TX has all the details.
Nissan has announced the opening of its Future:Today exhibition, which is centered around the all-electric, zero emissions Nissan LEAF. Bates Nissan is proud to offer a vehicle that has inspired an entire exhibition dedicated to showing people what incredible innovations the future holds.
According to Nissan, the Future:Today exhibit is an “interactive exhibition [that] will showcase the work of some of the biggest names from the worlds of arts, design, architecture, technology and engineering. The exhibition is a fully immersive experience, which will provide a rare glimpse into what the future could look like.”
The exhibition will be housed in at Stockholm’s legendary Norrmalmstorg, and will feature exterior LED walls designed by Jump Studios. The walls follow the movements of those passing them and will change the color and intensity of light depending on the interaction of those walking by. That is only the beginning of the interactive experience that the Future:Today exhibition offers, many of which feature the Nissan LEAF.
An LED wall that stretches from the floor to the ceiling will feature in-car videos of people who are taking the LEAF for a test drive, and touch screen interfaces allow those in the exhibit to learn anything and everything about the LEAF. People are then able to apply their new found knowledge of the LEAF by taking it out for a test drive.
As a purely electric vehicle the Nissan LEAF epitomizes efficiency and is safe for the environment as it uses no gasoline. Powered by an 80 kW AC synchronous electric motor, the LEAF is able to return 106 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) and can reach speeds of up to 90 miles per hour without using a single drop of gas.
