HANOVER, Pennsylvania – Two 2013 Ford models earned spots on MSN Autos’ “Better than Your Average Car” list, according to Gene Latta Ford (genelatta.com) dealership in Hanover, PA. The 2013 Ford Mustang and 2013 Ford Escape have the best value under the average price of cars.

The average price of new vehicle purchases rose to $30,462, according to a study from TrueCar.com. That figure is up from $30,168 in 2011 and $28,067 in 2009. Editors at MSN Autos searched through the many 2013 cars and trucks to find the top 15 with the best value under the 2012 average price and compiled them into a list, which includes two Ford cars – the 2013 Escape and 2013 Mustang.

The 2013 Ford Escape is redesigned for the model year and comes standard with numerous features. “With its 2013 redesign, the Ford Escape was transformed from a rather gruff, upright SUV that drove like a small truck to a sleek and efficient crossover that drives like a sport sedan,” write the editors at MSN Autos. “For $30,665 you can get an all-wheel-drive SEL version with just about everything you would want... The Escape comes standard with leather upholstery, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and the MyFord Touch infotainment system with navigation.”

The 2013 Ford Mustang also landed on the list of vehicles with the best value. “The Mustang is the iconic American pony car, and it is fun in almost any configuration. It's available as a coupe or convertible with V6 or V8 power, each with its own flavor of power, sportiness and retro-cool style. For today's average transaction price, you can get a 420-horsepower GT coupe, a great-handling 305-horsepower V6 Premium coupe with the Performance package, or a V6 convertible with the automatic transmission and Recaro bucket seats,” explained MSN Autos.
