The book that brings newer insights and greater comprehension to the wonders of a mystic world
Despite some movies and several historical documents, much of Maya history is still shrouded with mystery.
From literature portrayals of the native Mayans as primitive people who sacrificed men to the Aztec gods, to the different legends and parables on how the empire collapsed, readers can now gain a different respect and understanding on why the Ancient Mayans are renowned as being an incredibly advanced culture especially in mathematics, astronomy, and arts. In her book, Remember to Remember: The Mayan Mysteries, author Carol E. Parrish-Harra opens a new doorway to understanding the Maya mysteries by integrating parables and legends, as well as calendars and mathematics.
With the belief in the value of every tradition having much to give to humanity, Carol Parrish-Harra, gives a documented compilation and personal insights of the Mayan history and prophesies beginning with the lost worlds of Lemuria and Atlantis to the wonders of the encoded hieroglyphs and to the remarkable story of an empire that influenced future empires and even the world as we know it today.
This book gives readers a sense of adventure in exploring the known and the unknown world of the Mayan civilization. Yet, it also gives a different glimpse of a more creative future presented clearly in the integration of science and religion and many other concepts in the Maya history. The author clearly emphasizes her point to integrate the contribution of the Maya with other wisdom traditions.
Dr. Parrish-Harra finds a delight, “in finding correlations between teachings of one wisdom system and another to help us gain new insights to the higher plan for humanity.”
In embracing the Mayan mysteries and integrating them with other schools of thought, readers can definitely learn an important lesson- that is to “Remember to Remember”.
