Spanish actor Javeir Bardem has reportedly been offered the role of the villain in the upcoming new Bond film, simply being referred to as “Bond 23â€.
So far leading actor Daniel Craig and award winning actress Judi Dench have both confirmed that they will be taking part in the next film as 007 and his boss M but the role of the super villain is yet to have been cast.
According to reports the star of “Biutiful†and “No Country for Old Men†has been asked to consider the role in the film to be directed by Sam Mendes.
It has been a busy few days for Javier Bardem who has not only received an Oscar nomination for his role in “Biutiful†but also celebrated the birth of his new son with his with Penelope Cruz on the same day.
The 23rd Bond film had been in jeopardy as MGM reportedly were trying to solve financial problems but it seems all is once again on track with these latest speculations which have also included the suggestion that Rachel Weisz may join the cast in this latest Bond installment.
